34 YEARS OF AVP AND OUR COMMUNITY

ARTE VETRINA PROJECT was born in Bologna, Italy in 1986 from an enlightened idea by Igor Pallante, a multifaceted creative and founder of the studio.

The name "Igor Pallante Window Dresser" transformed in 1996 into Arte Vetrina Snc and then again when the small business become Arte Vetrina Project SRL in 2000, with a partnership with his brother Omar Pallante.

At the beginning the studio, under the direction of Igor, set up store windows for small Bolognese boutiques that were located under the city's famous portici. Bologna is also the capital of Emilia-Romagna region, where the majority of luxury fashion brands were founded and where our local community is based.

There have been many individuals who were part of and who are still living in this beautiful creative journey that has lasted 34 years. We became experts in the design, production and installation of store window displays, pop ups, mockups and fashion shows.

Today, AVP is one of the major creative players in the retail and luxury sector thanks to our significant experience in Italy, across Europe, the Middle East and the UAE. Our passion for this industry was born from our predisposition to creativity, experimentation, and obsessive attention to detail, which distinguishes all our projects.

We give voice to the needs and ideas of our customers, transforming them into unique stories and images, like a tailoring work where ideas are designed to best interpret the essence of each single brand and tell personal story.

The year 2000 marked a turning point for AVP due to the creation of Spazio SP Architetti, our partner studio. Our partnership has allowed us to grow further and to follow our customers by also internalizing the technical and executive development phases on every kind of project. This included the development of large surfaces or productions of very significant quantities.Today the agency has about fifteen permanent collaborators plus a network of about 40 freelance collaborators in Italy and abroad, all of which are able to follow any kind of project.Specializing in the world of luxury, we have constantly refined our design techniques, choosing increasingly innovative materials, and updating our team on latest industry trends.

The timing of the individual project varies according to customer requests and needs. Generally about three months are enough to complete a project starting from the design phase and ending with the on-air date of the set-up phase. On average, two or three weeks are dedicated to research, creativity and design which are followed by all the technical and executive phases. The rest is directly dedicated to sampling, prototypes, production, logistics, shipping, assembly and setting up.

Our studio is made up of a close-knit group of creatives who intervene at different times throughout the phases of each creative project. The art director is the first to interpret the client's wishes and objectives. They translate their desires into a presentation that satisfies the client's wishes by representing their products in the best way possible. After, depending on the nature of the work (window display, visual preparation, event planning), our architects, engineers, designers, graphic designers, window dressers or visual merchandisers intervene and collaborate, in different phases. Our staff is highly attentive to detail, this ensures that the quality of our creations have the power to create a unique experience when someone sees it for the first time.

In these thirty years of experience, AVP has experienced innumerable developments in the sector. From the birth of new materials, to the increasing space dedicated to shop windows, pop up installations, line meetings, fashion shows, up to the adaptation of these expertise to new markets with new logics and needs.

The introduction in Italy in the 90s of techniques that created a connection between shop windows and store interiors, the first path and distribution logics, up to a new, much more direct and immediate way of presenting products: what we call daily visual merchandising techniques.

Today many companies are directing their communication to Millennials. The result is a more street style, provocative and dynamic approach. Fashion favors this change, proposing emerging stylists with very different and unconventional backgrounds.

The projects that most involved and excited us are those that have led us to collaborate with other creatives, often outside our sector, from completely different backgrounds than ours. Our ability to connect with a variety of cultures allowed us to create magnificant projects such as the Floating Cloud projects realized at the wonderful BYTHESEA Luxury Department Store of the Aïshti Group in Beirut, a company who we have collaborated with then collaborated further in their various distribution points in Bahrain, Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, and in the UAE. Another worth mentioning was the CALVIN KLEIN - CK205W39NYC Pop Up Installation at The Broken Arm at the heart of the Marais district in Paris.

Other exciting opportunities we have had in the past have been in the elegant Galerie LaFayette in Paris, in the high-end Selfridges in London, installations in The Corner in Berlin, as well as at the best department stores in Russia such as Babochka in Saint Petersburg and at the high end department store TsUM in Moscow.

We give thanks to our strong local and global communities for always giving us the opportunities to collaborate together. It has provided AVP with practical knowledge and experience that is well-respected around the world.
